Formely know as Fraser Escape
This hostel caters mainly for the Backpackers going to Fraser Island, most of the time you bed/room is part of a package deal from the bigger travel agencies. The hostel rents its own 4WD landcruisers and camping gear and also offers guided drives over the beautiful sand island.
But!! This hostel was a campsite before, and the owner saw the dollar signs in his eyes and build cabins, a restaurant and even better a big party bar with the speed of a hurricane. So you are more than welcome to spend your dollars.
Be careful when booking a 4WD trip, as soon as you get the car, make sure you check you car for dents, scratches and salt water. Write everything down and make sure the staff signs the form.
The rooms in the newer cabins are ok, the older ones are rundown but cheaper, but you are only there to sleep before you go, and have a shower when you leave. You will get what you pay for.
